North Texas Food Bank

Volunteer with the North Texas Food Bank and make a difference in the lives of local families. The NTFB provided 136.9 million meals to kids, seniors, and families in need in 2022.

From packing and boxing, sorting, senior food box distribution, and other special events, there are numerous ways you can get involved.

GROW North Texas

Help increase access to fresh, local food and support local Texas farmers by volunteering with GROW North Texas. This local nonprofit works to create a sustainable and secure regional food system by developing new farmer’s markets and offering support and classes for urban farmers.

DFW volunteer opportunities include working The Buckner WIC Farm Stand in Dallas or farming at the Owenwood Farm that provides fresh fruits and veggies for the organization’s WIC farm stands.

DFW Rescue Me

If animals are your passion, DFW Rescue Me is a foster-based, DFW dog rescue group that is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization. You can get involved by donating, fostering, volunteering, and most importantly, adopting your next pet!

After School All-Stars

Founded in 1992, After School All-Stars helps students and supports working families through free, comprehensive after-school programs in cities across the nation. These programs aim to keep kids safe and succeeding in school.

There are After School All-Stars DFW volunteer opportunities at various schools throughout the Metroplex with areas of opportunity in sports, robotics, STEM, coding, music, art, gaming, and more.

Dallas CASA

Court-Appointed Special Advocates serve as voices for abused and neglected children. The courts appoint CASA volunteers to gather information and make recommendations to help judges decide what is best for each child.

CASA volunteers must undergo 30 hours of initial training and 12 hours of continuing education each year.

Boys & Girls Club of America

The longstanding Boys & Girls Club mentoring program connects young people with positive adult mentors who can help them build their strengths, listen to their concerns, and help them realize their potential. There are multiple Boys & Girls Club DFW branches to get involved with today!

The Samaritan Inn

Since 1984, The Samaritan Inn has served as an emergency shelter for men, women, and families. The Collin County shelter relies on at least 44 volunteers daily to adequately staff essential positions at the Inn.
